The New York City Department of Transportation is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated, and creative individual to join the NYC Department of Transportation’s Office of Press and Communications as Creative Director. The Office is within the Strategy Unit of the Agency which includes Intergovernmental Affairs and Policy in addition to Press and Communications. The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller, a strategic thinker, an experienced social media professional, and possess an outstanding sense of humor. The Creative Director will develop and execute, across communications channels, the creative vision for the agency’s communications. The Creative Director will oversee the creative direction for all external agency communications, with a particular focus on social media. The Creative Director will also advise on creative strategy for marketing, graphic design, videography and photography, and other related work. The candidate will be the lead social media content creator and supervise the NYC DOT social media team. The Creative Director will develop fun, engaging, and innovative ideas and concepts that align with Office of Communications and agency goals and will collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective execution.
