The role of the Creative Arts and Digital Content Coordinator is to support the Arts program to plan and execute projects and programming that are in direct service to the Fortune community and to the wider NYC community of directly-impacted people, including those currently detained on Rikers Island. The Coordinator will serve as the point person for the creation and transmittal of digital content for people detained at Rikers related to substance misuse education, recovery, and reentry that will be uploaded to NYC Department of Corrections-issued tablets. The Coordinator will work directly with a production consultancy to generate and film such content, and will liaise with Fortune’s Behavioral Health team and, potentially, representatives from the NYC Department of Correction (DOC) to facilitate the dissemination of the content to people in DOC custody. The Coordinator will also facilitate art workshops and guide on- and off-site art projects and perform assigned administrative duties that may include, but not be limited to, program referrals, documenting attendance, promoting the overall program, and supporting special events/workshops.
