About The Position

Lead team of coverage bankers that serve private real estate developers and operators nationwide by delivering customized banking and capital markets solutions. Responsible for growing the business, developing talent, and working with various internal business partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field, and specific knowledge/experience with supporting educational background, or equivalent education and related training
  • Ten years of related experience
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 24
  • Knowledge or experience in strategic planning/projects/process management
  • Strong leadership experience with supporting educational background
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective marketing and sales leadership skills
  • Sales or sales management experience
  • Proven negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial, operational, regulatory and information technology systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.

  • Master’s degree in business or related Field.

Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for their market. Implement and execute on strategies, financial performance metrics, and tactical plans for the business.
  • Attract, retain, and promote top talent.
  • Engage regularly with clients and prospects to grow and deepen relationships.
  • Deliver industry leading revenue, PPNR, and profitability (i.e. return metrics). Drive profitable growth through market planning and business development activities.
  • Build and maintain good working partnerships across Truist with Truist Securities, Grandbridge, Treasury, Wealth and others to ensure products/service offerings meet client needs. Demonstrate teamwork with geographic partners.
  • Promote sound risk management as the first line of defense by ensuring compliance with Bank policies for credit, underwriting, operational, regulatory, tax, legal procedures and policies.
  • Employ strong talent management practices around development, retention, recruiting, and hiring for all teammates.
  • Represent Truist effectively through external engagement via industry association participation and other public events such as ribbon cutting events, speaking on panels, and interacting with various influential community members.
  • Regularly interface with internal partners including Marketing, Ops, Risk, Human Resources, Compliance, IT, etc.
  • As a licensed teammate, serve as a resource and liaison to other National Real Estate Bankers/Leaders and Truist Securities.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, trends and competitive data functioning as industry expert.
