The CRE Portfolio Senior Associate is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans, as well as supporting compliance and credit administration requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial real estate; including experience and expertise in reviewing loan documents, analyzing rent rolls, leases, operating statements, joint venture agreements, budgets, appraisals, environmental and engineering reports. Prior development and construction experience are a plus.
  • An undergraduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance or Real Estate.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong credit risk assessment skills.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant computer software skills, such as Word and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to quickly forge strong working relationships.
  • Formal CRE credit training required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate loans by analyzing financial data, monitoring credit quality, and evaluating property performance.
  • Complete annual loan reviews and prepare risk rating adjustment memos as necessary.
  • Obtain annual financial reporting requirements and analyze financial statements to prepare cash flow analyses.
  • Review leases, financial statements, and other relevant documents to assess property conditions and the loan’s credit quality.
  • Identify and assess potential risks within the loan portfolio and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Process data from the Bank’s core reports to prepare the quarterly credit deck.
  • Maintain a continuing knowledge of Bank policies, as well as changes in banking law and regulations, to ensure that deviations from policy are identified and reported.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner.
  • Represent the Bank and Credit Administration team in a highly professional manner.
  • Maintain borrower confidentiality; adhere to Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned.
