Crate Builder & Communications Point

Beaver Packaging & Crating of IL, Inc. is a national company that has been providing specialized handling, crating, packaging, and transportation services since 1991. As a Crate Builder, you will be responsible for building custom crates using various tools such as saws, nail guns, and staple guns, while working collaboratively with a team. This position requires effective communication as you will serve as a communications point between the Operations Manager and your team. You will be expected to maintain a good production pace and motivation while ensuring quality standards are met. In this role, you will draw up crates using basic math and a tape measure, complete necessary paperwork, and construct crates that will be loaded, blocked, and braced in ocean containers. Proficiency in driving a forklift is essential, as you may need to operate a company car or a 16' truck as required. The position also demands strong organizational skills, a good memory, and the ability to multi-task. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are crucial, along with good decision-making and leadership skills. You will be expected to follow company guidelines and procedures diligently, ensuring that all tasks are completed responsibly and on time.
