About The Position

At Morgan, we partner with our customers to design and implement solutions for the world’s most complex material handling needs. We are currently looking for a Crane Technician to join our growing Morgan Site Services team in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3+ years of crane experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use metrological instruments such as micrometers.
• Basic organization, communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Skills in one or more of the following areas are preferred: Millwright work, iron work, pipefitting, electrical meters, basic machining, basic welding and rigging.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, wire and commission Morgan industrial overhead cranes at customer sites across the U.S.
• Perform preventative maintenance on overhead cranes.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical systems on overhead cranes.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, as well as AC and DC electrical systems.
