In collaboration with the U.S. Department of War (DoW), the Manitowoc DOW Skillbridge Program (CraneBridge) provides military service members who are within 180 days of separation from military service, with top tier training in becoming a Shop or Crane Technician at Manitowoc. The goal is to provide service members with opportunities to learn and train at Manitowoc’s facilities as they prepare the transition from the military to the civilian sector. This is an unpaid training program through the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program. Participants of the program will not receive compensation or benefits from Manitowoc and will not be considered employees of Manitowoc but rather will remain an employee of the DoW and will receive compensation and benefits through the DoW. Job Overview: A Crane Technician can be categorized as a Field Technician or Shop Technician. Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. The in-person training program is 20 weeks, and you will be trained by master crane instructors and technicians. You will learn all about our Cranes including Terminology, Technology, Setup, Operation, Schematics.
