The Crane Shop Service Technician is responsible for performing safe, professional, high-quality, and timely inspections, diagnosis, repair, loading/unloading, make-ready, and maneuvering of cranes and related equipment primarily in a shop environment. Work will be performed alone or in teams to provide high-quality mechanical services that meet customers’ needs and achieve organizational and departmental objectives. Essential Functions: Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission. Responds to customers’ needs in a professional and urgent manner, satisfying their requirements and meeting organizational and departmental objectives. Inspects and diagnoses cranes and related equipment technical problems in a professional, accurate, efficient, and timely manner to satisfy customers’ Prepares cranes and related equipment for service work utilizing proper safety procedures (locks, blocking, lock-out procedures, etc.) to avoid injury. Removes and replaces crane and related equipment components utilizing required technical data and procedures to repair equipment to organization and industry standards. Maintains technical proficiency through self-study and/or successful completion of required training courses to increase job related competencies. Maintain and control company property and resources in a manner to ensure safety, cleanliness, reliability, and minimal expense. Requires regular and punctual employee attendance Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
