About The Position

Turner Industries Group is looking for Small Crane Operators for full-time work in our modular yard in New Iberia, LA.
This position is responsible for the operation of various power driven and hydraulic machinery which are used to move materials. Additional responsibilities include providing crane lifting and rigging support as well as equipment preventative maintenance and inspection.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
No relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Preferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience in specified skill
• NCCER certified
• Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel, electric, gasoline or steam-powered operating equipment
• Interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed
• Reads and interprets load charts
• May assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects
• May be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surfaces
• May perform maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines/equipment
