This position operates an crane to move objects, components and material. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Requirements

  • NCCER or NCCCO certification required
  • High school or equivalent
  • Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
  • Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably one (1) to two (2) years of experience in specified skill

Responsibilities

  • Reads and signs off on JSA
  • Operates overhead crane from a cab
  • Receives verbal communication from employees where location of crane is needed to move materials throughout accessible areas
  • Stays awake, alert and is aware of surroundings
  • Uses hand levers to control functions of the crane
  • Performs daily inspection of the crane
  • Reports any unsatisfactory findings to the Foreman
  • Reads and interprets load charts
  • Understands hand signals for communicating with employees in the work area
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
