About The Position

The Crane Operator and Rigger is responsible for operating a variety of heavy, specialized lifting equipment. In addition to operating, the position will be required to rig loads as needed. Requirements

  • 4 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds occasionally, lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds regularly
  • 2-3 years of experience in a shipyard environment
  • Calculating loads
  • Certified in rigging
  • Pouring a socket on a tow cable
  • NCCCO - LAT(LBC) & TLL required.
  • 2-3 years of shipyard experience
  • Valid class B driver's license
  • Working experience with both hydraulic and friction cranes

  • Operate crawler cranes
  • Operate lattice boom cranes
  • Operate barge mounted friction cranes
  • Operate rough terrain fork lifts and loaders
  • Operate hydraulic cranes of various sizes
