About The Position
The Crane Operator position at Siemens Energy involves operating overhead cranes to move large rotating equipment through the Shop. The role includes assisting in loading and unloading machines, large lathes, crates, containers, and material handling and staging of components for assembly and installation. This position is critical to the smooth operation of the Steam Rotor Department, supporting crane moves for machinists, hand skill, and welding operations. The safety of all employees depends on safe and smooth crane moves, and Crane Operators have a direct impact on the quality of the product by operating in tight fitting positions and choosing proper rigging to ensure no product damage occurs.
