About The Position

Electrical and mechanical repairs, inspections, maintenance, and installation of SFRD overhead cranes, jib cranes, and gantry cranes. Perform modifications and upgrades on cranes.

Requirements

• Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining AC/DC drives and PLC electrical control circuits.
• Must know basic AC/DC motor theory.
• Must have a strong safety record, good attitude with proven mechanical ability, good communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-directed with the ability to work in a team or individual setting.

Nice To Haves

• Sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance of production equipment and machinery, familiarity with radio controls, PLC’s and AC/DC drives.
• Familiarity with the installation and alignment of motors, brakes, couplings, and gearboxes.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly crane inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks of all electrical/mechanical crane systems.
• Operation of mobile equipment including fork trucks, extending boom fork trucks, man lifts and overhead cranes.
