Requirements
- Grade 12 education or equivalent technical training.
- Must have completed the requirements for Tradesperson qualifications or completed fourth year of five (5) year instrumentation apprenticeship.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong focus on safety.
Nice To Haves
- Qualified Tradesperson (Instrumentation).
- 2 years’ experience in the oil and natural gas industry.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiar with ABB Info 90 & Emerson Ovation DCS.
- Experience working in the Petro Chemical/Oil and Gas Industry.
- Experience working with boilers, burners and turbine controls.
- Analyzer knowledge - Ametek Series 900 and Siemens Gas Chromatographs.
- Familiar with Rosemount Transmitters and Fisher Controllers & Valves.
- Knowledge of SAP.
Responsibilities
- Senior Craftsperson (Instrumentation) or Craftsman (Instrumentation).
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and installation of instrument and control equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs to instrument and control equipment, and control-loop issues.
- Complete testing and documentation for calibrations, maintenance, and compliance requirements tied to safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Participate in the development of procedures to ensure work is performed in a safe and effective manner .
- Follow all safety policies and safe work practices and participate in regular safety meetings .
- Support all instrumentation trade activities that may include other duties as required.
- Work within Unifor Local 686B union.
- Work in a team environment within the Maintenance department.
