Overview This is an intern level maintenance and operations position. Perform basic to routine skill level work under moderate supervision/oversight, in order to clean, check, inspect, repair, maintain, operate and install various pieces of equipment.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a technical field.
• Applicable degree fields include Industrial Maintenance, Advanced Automation & Robotics Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2.50 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities as required to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot various power plant equipment.
• Learn the proper use of hand tools, power tools, hoist, drill presses, grinders, and other tools and equipment pertaining to the work.
• Assist employees in carrying out work assignments.
• Clean equipment undergoing repairs, handle and move material, supplies and equipment in connection with the work and work area.
• Be able to learn to make and read simple drawings and sketches.
• Prepare and take the Edison Electrical Institute (EEI) POSS/MASS test measuring job responsive aptitude, ability to retain knowledge, and problem solving skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
