This position is Tuesday through Friday working 3:30 am - 1:30 pm.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience delivering craft beer.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to speak and write the English language at least at the high school level is required.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license with a clean DMV record with no more than 6 points on license.

Responsibilities

• Lead trainer for all new delivery drivers.
• Follow training manual for complete and comprehensive understanding of all delivery driver duties.
• Perform ride-alongs for new and veteran drivers for continuous training purposes.
• Point of contact for morning start up to ensure routes leave at their scheduled time.
• Ability to solve morning issues that can delay routes from leaving on time such as staffing, loading issues, invoices, Encompass/phone issues, equipment breakdowns, and/or weather related concerns.
• Communication to sales/management of delays/potential route issues.
• Help drive the company safety culture.
• Be an example of safety to the team daily by following all policies and procedures and reinforcing safe practices.
• Become an active participant in quarterly driver safety meetings.
• Help lead driving force to perform full and proper equipment inspections to meet compliance requirements.
• Become familiar with equipment PM’s and vendor contacts.
• Basic understanding of DOT regulations.
• Back up or fill in role for the department in case of managers absences.
• Safely & courteously deliver beverage products to accounts.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
• Accurately follow paperwork procedures and execute cash management duties.
• Protect the company's assets by maintaining organized, safe, and clean vehicles, always complying with the company’s safety and security standards.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including DOT safety regulations.
• Immediately report accident, equipment malfunction and DMV or Traffic Violations.
• Ensure cargo is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements.
• Maintain truck and related equipment in clean good working condition.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Assist in loading and unloading truck.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Manager.
