CR Lead Responsibilities and Processes Summary of CR Lead responsibilities. CR Lead reports to the CR Manager under these responsibilities Directing morning meetings with the CR team Participating in weekly CR Lead meetings Running daily production and inventory reports Updating Engine Mechanical sheet Clearing CR Discrepancies, document mistakes in the CR Mistakes sheet Training all CR Writers Following Training process Updating Pre-Inspections QC Check (Physical), document mistakes in the CR Mistakes sheet Post Inspections, document mistakes in the CR Mistakes sheet Transfer Inspections, document mistakes in the CR Mistakes sheet Review Inspections, document mistakes in the CR Mistakes sheet Running daily reports Every morning the CR Lead is to run the following reports, this is to be completed prior to the CR Meeting: Total units missing Pre-Inspections Total units requiring post-Inspections Total units missing inspection on the Prep List (If auction week) Total units with pending Review and Transfer inspections Total units with pending “Update CR” vehicle tasks Pending exceptions for CR Discrepancies Auction Ready or In Auction units with out-of-date inspections Every evening the CR Lead is to run the following reports, send the totals to the CR Production Manager, GM, AGM and your Regional Manager. Total number of inspections completed by each CR Writer Total number of inspections completed for the day Total number of units missing Pre-inspections Supply a reason production was low for any given CR Writer Every Friday evening the CR Lead is to run the following reports, send the totals to the CR Production Manager, GM, AGM and your Regional Manager. Total number of inspections completed for the week, be sure to include sold units when running this report Total number of units missing Pre-inspections Directing morning CR meetings with the CR Team: Discuss topics given in the CR Lead meeting The discussion topics given in the CR Lead meetings every Monday should be covered Tuesday through the following Monday. New topics will be released every Monday after the CR Lead meeting. We need to make sure we engage the team, the topics should be discussed in detail Tuesday morning, Wednesday through the following Monday should be in a quiz form, pick a CR Writer for each topic and quiz them on the information. Review any units rated Mechanical issue from the previous day Go over the daily reports and outline a plan for the day, put emphasis on older units that still require a Pre-Inspection. Update the Engine Mechanical sheet to reflect the determination of any Mechanical issue that was reviewed. Update the inspection to reflect the correct rating. Post-Inspections, Transfer Inspections, Review Inspections, Pre-Inspection updates, and CR discrepancies The CR Lead is responsible for completing Post-inspections, Transfer Inspections, Review Inspections, and Pre-Inspection updates Review every unit that has been set up for IFT Validate any major damage is disclosed Re-inspect any unit with an overall CR score drop greater than 2 points Review any major discrepancies with the CR Writer Complete Transfer Inspections on any units transferred from another facility Validate any major damage is disclosed Re-inspect any unit with an overall CR score drop greater than 2 points Email Lead CR Writer and GM of the origin facility with any Discrepancies Review any inspections flagged for CR discrepancy Review prior inspections on every unit, this includes reviewing CR Discrepancies for mileage Discrepancy. We are looking for items previously rated. Bent Cracked Damaged Missing (Especially engines, any unit previously missing an engine needs to be flagged with the GM and placed into exception) Any mistakes found during these inspections need to be added to the CR Mistakes sheet. Physical QC Check Validate CR scores Spot check units that appear inaccurate, check for scores that seem too high or too low. Compare CR score to overall condition of unit (i.e. If the unit scored an 89 give the unit a quick once over to verify that it is accurate, check underside of frame, exhaust, footrests, etc. Inspect for any signs that the unit has been dropped) Verify any Dents, Fluid Leaks, Aftermarket Fairings, Frame damage etc. is rated accordingly Inspect Harley Davidson frames Spot check front down tubes Review wrecked units Thoroughly inspect every wrecked unit Verify ratings on Frame, Wheels, Suspension, Engine Cosmetic Check for common damage or issues (Review Common vehicle issues sheet) Test ride all Suzuki M109R’s & Hayabusa’s Inspect Kawasaki VN900’s for bottom case damage Verify Engine numbers and gauges on GSX-R600’s and GSX-R750’s Verify CCU Units on 2019+YZ250F/FX & 2018+YZ450F/FX Check for cracked frames (Please ask if you don’t know where to look) 2004-2005 ZX-10R 2005-2006 GSX-R1000 2010+ YZ250F/YZ450F Participating in weekly CR Lead meetings Discuss any issues that came up from the prior week including CR Discrepancies from Facility to facility. Discuss issues found during Physical QC Discuss a plan for the week if inventory is low Training all CR Writers The CR Lead is responsible for training all CR Writers and determining when any CR Writer is ready to advance to the next level. Responsible for following the training process Review the inspections for new hires or CR Writers advancing to the next level prior to upload.
