About The Position
The Merchandiser I position at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is a vital role responsible for executing merchandising activities that enhance the visibility and sales of SGWS products in retail accounts. This position involves constructing attractive displays, stocking products, and ensuring that promotional materials are effectively installed to meet display objectives. The Merchandiser will work closely with sales teams and retail customers to maintain positive relationships and ensure that all company products are properly displayed. This role is essential in driving sales and promoting the brand within assigned territories. In this position, the Merchandiser will be tasked with building displays and updating pricing and special offers to attract customer attention. They will also be responsible for stocking products on shelves, displays, and cold boxes as necessary, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that products are readily available for customers. The role may require performing other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the merchandising team. The physical demands of this position include activities such as walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping, as well as the ability to lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 56 lbs. Given the nature of the role, it is classified as safety-sensitive, requiring candidates to pass a drug test upon receiving a conditional offer of employment.
