In this highly visible role, you will be at the center of designing and assessing new features for Apple CPUs which lead the industry in performance and efficiency. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads
• Ability to problem solve and prove your own ideas

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology is a plus

Responsibilities

• Architect cutting edge CPU performance features in collaboration with RTL and implementation teams
• Identify and devise solutions for hardware and software performance bottlenecks
• Develop advanced CPU performance simulator and associated infrastructure
• Develop new performance exploration and correlation tools and processes
• Collaborate with software and system teams to identify, profile, and optimize critical workloads for CPU performance and power
• Correlate performance of RTL with CPU performance simulator
• Capture key workloads for simulation on CPU performance model
