Nice To Haves

  • Interest in hardware security and emerging CPU security features.
  • Understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture.
  • Hands-on experience with RTL verification (directed tests, random test generation, simulation-based debug).
  • Knowledge of assembly language, C, and C++.
  • Experience debugging firmware or RTL code using simulation tools.
  • Exposure to Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or Shell.
  • Comfortable working in Linux environments.
  • Exposure to hardware security vulnerabilities (e.g., Spectre, Meltdown) or virtualization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and firmware teams to understand new features and their intended behavior.
  • Build or contribute to test plans, considering interactions with hardware, firmware, and software drivers.
  • Estimate development effort for test creation and environment updates with team guidance.
  • Develop both directed and random verification tests.
  • Debug test failures to determine root cause; partner with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design issues or testbench problems.
