The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) works to build on strengths of families and communities to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, so they thrive. We do this through investigations, services, and referrals. This position provides administrative support or technical program assistance work to the Program Administrator and other managerial staff. Work involves disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and performing internal administrative support work. May train others. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position interacts routinely with DFPS staff including program administrators, program directors, supervisors, the regional director, representatives from various organizations and the general public.
