The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) works to build on strengths of families and communities to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, so they thrive. We do this through investigations, services, and referrals. Performs advanced (senior-level) clerical work in areas such as bookkeeping, inventory control, statistics, employment, human resources, purchasing, mail processing, or accounting. Work involves coordinating clerical activities such as compiling and tabulating data, checking documents for accuracy, handling and transporting documents and/or stock and inventory, and maintaining files. May train others. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position interacts routinely with community agencies, Texas Department of Family & Protective Services staff and the general public.
