About The Position

We are looking for PhD level students majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacometrics, Chemical Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline for a 12-week internship role in Boston, MA from May 18th to August 7th. Position Duties: Data handling and visualization: Clean, organize, and visualize clinical and preclinical datasets; generate plots to identify trends relevant to PK/PD and exposure–response. Population PK/PD support: Assist in model specification, parameter estimation, and diagnostics under mentorship; contribute to model summaries and interpretation. Exposure–response analyses: Support exploratory analyses that connect drug exposure to efficacy/safety endpoints; help prepare figures and concise findings. Clinical trial simulations: Run and document scenario analyses to explore dose/regimen implications, sample size, and study design options. QSP model contributions: Help curate literature, structure model components, and perform basic simulations in QSP platforms under guidance.

Requirements

  • PhD level students majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacometrics, Chemical Engineering, Statistics or a related discipline. Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026.
  • Proficiency in R or Python for data manipulation and visualization is required.
  • Familiarity with ggplot2, tidyverse, or matplotlib/seaborn is required.
  • Foundational understanding of PK/PD concepts (compartmental models, exposure–response) and statistical inference is required.
  • Ability to report onsite to Boston, MA 3-5 days per week.
  • US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
  • This role will not be providing OPT support.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to NONMEM, Monolix, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Julia/Mathematica or QSP platforms is a plus.
