Manages monitors and delivers the Introduction to Center Life Program, activities, and related events.
Requirements
High level of written and verbal communication skills, able to write creatively.
Ability to encourage teamwork and solicit ideas of teachers,
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced knowledge in implementing plans to respond to CPP related issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to effectively relate to students
Proficient in the use of computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
Bachelor’s Degree in social or human services, education, counseling or related field. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Two years of related experience with youth preferred. One-year experience in a supervisory capacity.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Reading, writing and communicating fluently in English
Hearing and speaking to express ideas and/or exchange information in person or over the telephone
Seeing to read labels, posters, documents, PC screens, etc.
Sitting, standing, moving about or walking for occasional or frequent periods of time
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
Kneeling, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching overhead
Retrieving and storing files and supplies; occasionally carrying and/or lifting light objects
Responsibilities
Manages the Introduction to Center Life Program, including curriculum review and program compliance.
Provides supervision, training, assessment, and leadership for assigned staff.
Establishes the Academic program mission and strategic plan, objectives, goals and evaluates program effectiveness.
Monitors classrooms, dormitory meetings, routine and crises (for at-risk students) counseling sessions, and recreational activities.
Ensures smooth transition of students from the Career Preparation Period (CPP) to the Career Development Period (CDP).
Monitors and administers a departmental budget and works within budgetary constraints
Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.
