About The Position

This position resides in the Information Management and Collections Division of Department of Revenue. Duties include coordinating the ongoing program activities of processing incoming correspondence, payments, returns and data. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining data, tracking data and system performance, ensuring secure handling and processing of taxpayer information. The incumbent provides consultation, technical assistance, training, and outreach to internal and external users to promote effective system operations. This includes overseeing system research, enhancement, validation, readiness, and reporting projects. The position resides in the Information Management Bureau which comprised of three units, Customer & Payment Management, Digitization, and Information Governance. The position reports to the Unit Manager. This position does not supervise other staff. This is a temporary seasonal position with the peak workload generally from February through June (may work up to six months). The incumbent may be assigned to work directly for any of the three units in the lnformation Management Bureau based on workload need and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of: Business administration, Office operations, Automated data processing systems, Information systems management, Records Management, Communication principles, Program management and project planning, System and program support, Data processing methodology, Data mapping methodology, Data processing practices
  • Skills in: Research and analysis, Multi-tasking and organizing multiple tasks, Technical troubleshooting, Compiling & analyzing data from multiple sources, Escalation and support techniques, Software requirements development, Documenting instructions, FAQ’s, training materials and procedures, Accuracy and attention to detail, Conflict resolution, Microsoft programs and other database applications, Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, Identifying and resolving system problems
  • Ability to: Demonstrate self-motivation, Follow instructions effectively, Maintain strong attention to detail, Provide timely and professional customer service, Handle multiple priorities under deadlines, Organize tasks efficiently, Develop technological solutions
  • High school diploma or GED, with familiarity using computer software
