As a Courtesy Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the facility in accordance with specific procedures; patrols the grounds and buildings. You will regulate and expedite the entry and exit of emergency vehicles into the Blue Skies grounds; performs duties as First Responder and responds to emergencies in cooperation with the Front Desk and other department representatives. In 1970, the first of our two campuses opened in San Antonio. Air Force Village I was followed in 1987 by Air Force Village II. For decades, our campuses created a community for officers of the armed forces - a retirement lifestyle rich with camaraderie and the shared common bond. We began by providing support to the widows of those who have served, and that legacy continues. In 2014, we expanded our eligibility to embrace a wider range of retired seniors, including those from civilian careers. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least one years worth of experience as a Security Guard, Courtesy Officer, or Front Desk Clerk preferred.
Must possess a current, valid Texas drivers license with good driving record and remain insurable by Blue Skies carriers required.
Possess current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), and First Aid certifications is required.

Responsibilities

Makes rounds either walking or driving company vehicle or golf cart of the entire exterior of the Blue Skies complex; observes and responds to the presence of unauthorized persons or vehicles.
Directs and controls traffic and parking for large functions.
Provides transportation to and from Freedom House as requested.
Acts as First Responder and responds to problems and emergencies according to standing instructions and procedures, using good judgment as the situation requires.
Expedites entry and departure of emergency vehicles and responds to emergencies as prescribed in the Emergency Action book.
