About The Position
As a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger at King Soopers, you will play a vital role in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your primary responsibility will be to bag groceries at checkout for customers, ensuring that items are handled with care and that bags are filled efficiently, striving for at least five items per bag while preventing damage to contents. You will also assist customers by removing their merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout and offering help with loading bags into their vehicles. In addition to bagging groceries, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the store. This includes cleaning spills, collecting trash, and ensuring that all areas inside and outside the store are tidy. You will also perform basic shelf conditioning, inform customers of grocery specials, and return merchandise to store shelves as needed. Understanding the store's layout will be essential for locating products and conducting price checks for cashiers. Safety is a top priority at King Soopers, and as a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger, you will reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying any unsafe conditions or accidents, promptly notifying store management. You will also adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines, practicing preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any items in need of repair. Your role will contribute to creating an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated, as you answer their questions and assist them during their shopping experience.
