Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, ensuring at least five items per bag while preventing damage to contents.
• Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Help customers load bags into their cars when requested.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts to return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and in the parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise as needed.
• Understand the store's layout to locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repair needs.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and services offered in the store.
• Report safety risks, illegal activities, and adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines.
