Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, ensuring items are not damaged.
• Strive for at least five items in each bag while following best practices for bagging.
• Assist in removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts to return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store's layout and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and notifying management of unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflict nonconfrontationally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
