About The Position

The Court Services Officer’s duties include but are not limited to the following: Supervision of adult and juvenile offenders placed on probation by the District Court. Communication and interaction with offenders and other relevant parties in the investigation and preparation of reports for the Court. Identifying an offender’s needs and risk to the community and referring offenders to appropriate community resources for assistance. Maintans chronological records of client contacts and of the caseload in general. Prepare reports related to the transfer of supervision, progress and violations of probation. Requires working closely with law enforcement and other community agencies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and preferred major course work in corrections, counseling, criminology, psychology, social work, sociology or a closely related field.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must submit to a name based criminal background check and have no felony convictions.
  • Must not be registered on a child abuse or adult abuse registry in any state.
  • Must submit to and pass a urinalysis test prior to employment.
  • If employed, the new employee is required to pass a fingerprint-based background check within the first 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves
