About The Position

Under supervision of the Chief of Police or his designee, and under general supervision of the Judge and the Court Administrator, provides a range of court security services. The primary responsibility of the court security officer is to provide a safe environment for the Judge, court personnel, attorneys, and the general public. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all minimum requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• One year of law enforcement experience
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Graduate of completed Kansas Law Enforcement Basic Training Academy or an equivalent Federal or State approved academy and certify as a Full-Time Kansas Law Enforcement Officer.
• Successful Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operators Course Certification.
