About The Position

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers (CSOs) to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract in Honolulu, HI. The role involves enforcing security protocols, conducting patrols, and ensuring the safety of court personnel and the public. A sign-on bonus of $1000 is offered after 90 days of employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least three years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent within the last seven years.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record for the past five years.
• Completion of a certified law enforcement training academy is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control by operating security screening equipment to detect weapons and prohibited items.
• Conduct roving patrols of court facilities and grounds as per post orders.
• Stand guard at stationary posts, monitoring security equipment and courtrooms.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties as needed.
• Enforce federal law and maintain order within the court premises.
• Prepare reports regarding contract performance issues and incidents.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect them prior to proceedings.
• Provide security presence in the courtroom and enforce local court rules.
