About The Position

The Josephine County Circuit Court in Grants Pass, Oregon, is hiring a Jury Coordinator (Court Operations Specialist). In this role, you will ensure that there are enough potential jurors and grand jurors. You will determine the number of jurors needed each day, send summonses, and process juror excuse requests. You will answer jury-related phone calls. You will coordinate and conduct jury orientation sessions and participate in grand jury orientation. You will prepare grand jury discharge orders for the Presiding Judge's signature. You will enter information into the jury management program and verify that accurate, timely payments are made to jurors and grand jurors. You will also make sure jury rooms and offices are stocked with the necessary forms and supplies. Part of your time will be spent coordinating the volunteer bailiff program, which includes setting the weekly bailiff schedule, preparing mileage reimbursement requests, and organizing and participating in the quarterly bailiff meeting. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office or business setting.
