The Jackson County Circuit Court in Medford, Oregon, is hiring a part-time, limited-duration Records/Support Clerk (Court Operations Clerk). In this role, you will retrieve records, documents, and files in various formats, such as electronic and hard copies, microfilm, and microfiche, to respond to customer questions and fulfill records and research requests. You will scan documents into the electronic case management file and verify the image quality. You will also make and certify copies, including calculating the related fees and processing credit card transactions. You will answer questions about cases and procedures from the public, attorneys, agencies, and court staff. You will help customers access our law library resources and use the public computers. The support you provide will be in person at the Legal Resource Center desk, over the phone, through fax, and in writing. You will spend part of your time helping the information technology team with logistics, basic IT duties, scanning documents, answering calls, and routing messages. You may also provide coverage for the Mailroom Clerk, which includes processing and routing incoming mail and faxes, and collecting outgoing mail. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of responsible clerical experience in a moderately complex office or business setting.
  • OR Any combination of education and experience equivalent to one (1) year of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

  • In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the second step of the salary range, depending on experience.
