About The Position

Anoka County District Court has an amazing opportunity to join the Civil/Probate Team as a Court Operations Associate in a diverse professional environment, that promotes equity for all court staff and court users. This is an entry-level position performing detail-oriented work while providing excellent customer service in the courtroom, public counters, and over the phone. This exciting position involves delivering exceptional service to court customers, judges, and other court-related employees by processing Family case types. We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-performance environment. As a Court Operations Associate, you will have the opportunity to work independently and in teams, using your judgment and available resources to handle a variety of administrative tasks. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft office Suite, with the ability to learn other job-related software.
  • Certificate or degree in a related field .
  • Basic knowledge of court procedures, policies, and records management.
  • Experience with electronic document applications, workflow queues and web-based video and audio platforms.
  • Customer service knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others within and outside of the Judicial Branch.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters and files appropriately and in compliance with all applicable court rules, policies, and statutes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the full range of court operations work for civil and probate court case processing.
  • Perform a variety of advanced clerical functions and multiple case types.
  • Provide assistance to attorneys, parties, judges, and the public by responding to a variety of questions in-person, over the phone, by mail, and/or electronically.
  • Perform courtroom support by working with judges or magistrates, court reporters, and other justice partners, calling cases, taking notes.
  • Review, enter, record, and update case information using an electronic case processing system and related applications and equipment.
  • Schedule and maintain court calendars.
  • Issues receipts for payment of court fees and fines; responsible for managing and balancing assigned till.
  • May perform the duties of an Electronic Recording Equipment Operator (EREO) including setting up and testing recording equipment and recording and monitoring court proceedings.
  • Attends and participates in division/team meetings and trainings; maintains knowledge of court policies, process, and procedures.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.
