The Washington County Circuit Court in Hillsboro, Oregon, is hiring an Information Desk Clerk (Court Operations Associate) to join our team in the Domestic Relations Department. In this role, you will spend most of your time providing customer service. You will provide court customers and walk-in patrons with directions to courtrooms, offices, and county agencies nearby. You will answer questions and explain court processes and procedures. You will answer a high volume of calls for the department and route them as needed. You will also use the electronic case management system to review case details, check the status of cases, and view court schedules. Additionally, you will process incoming and outgoing mail. You will scan documents into the case management system and verify the quality of the images. You will maintain equipment for our court interpreters. You will also manage the court’s lost and found, which includes documenting lost items of value and sending them to the Administration Office for secured storage. You will spend part of your time helping the Records Department by scanning and verifying court case files. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing a variety of clerical or administrative support tasks with strict deadlines in a busy business or professional setting.
  • Experience using a variety of software programs to access and input information and complete various tasks.
  • Experience providing customer service to a variety of individuals in challenging circumstances.
  • Experience explaining processes, procedures, or policies on behalf of an employer.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is preferred.
