About The Position

The Court Monitor Staff at Surge Adventure Park plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests participating in activities at the park. This position is not just about monitoring; it is about being an active participant in the high-energy environment that Surge is known for. Court Monitors are expected to engage with guests, reminding them of the rules and contributing positively to their experience. This role requires a watchful eye on the attractions, ensuring that everyone is having fun while adhering to safety protocols. As a Court Monitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety of patrons in and around the jumping surfaces and foam pits. This includes representing Surge Adventure Park with a professional attitude that aligns with the park's philosophy. You will communicate and enforce park regulations and jumping rules in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring that all guests understand the safety measures in place. Additionally, you will need to communicate any potentially dangerous elements of the facility to the Team Leader or General Manager. Your duties will also include attending all scheduled staff meetings, participating in staff training, and finding substitutes if you are unable to work. You will perform surveillance of patrons using a whistle from a designated area, remaining alert and using all your senses while monitoring the courts. Teamwork is essential, especially during special events, and you will work closely with other court monitors to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment. Other responsibilities include recording equipment inspections, completing a trampoline safety checklist at the start of each day, and reporting any issues to your supervisor. You will also set up trampoline stations for various activities and respond to emergencies, activating EMS when necessary. It is crucial to handle incidents appropriately, administering First Aid only when necessary and under the guidance of the Facility Supervisor. You will also assist the Park Management Team in keeping the community informed about park activities and perform other duties as assigned.
