Investigates juvenile’s background to prepare juvenile case for court actions; make recommendations to court. Maintains correspondence, written and verbal, with attorney, juvenile’s family, victims and collateral agencies. Prepares for pre-court interviews and attends court hearings. Maintains case files and communicates with schools and other agencies in reference to the juvenile. Supervises juveniles on court rules and conditions of release prior to formal court action. Investigates home, school, and other available resources to determine what is in the best interest of the child and society; performs home visits of juvenile. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
