About The Position

Perform administrative responsibilities involving minor decision-making, to support City Attorney District Court and Prosecution operations, and to assist with the processing of Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Tasks involve technical and legal terminology.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years working in a legal office.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines efficiently.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Experience with computer programs, including Excel, Adobe, JIS, and Microsoft Word.
  • An Associate degree or higher in Legal Assistant, Paralegal, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Diploma or official, sealed transcripts REQUIRED with application.
  • At least four (4) years employment in state, county, or municipal prosecutor's office and experience preparing, forms and records supporting prosecution operations.
