The Court Conciliator facilitates problem-solving events within the child welfare system for the Juvenile Department of the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County. Core responsibilities include conducting Preliminary Protective Conferences, dependency mediations, and prevention staffings. This role is essential in supporting timely case processing assisting with ensuring services are set up for the family and removing any potential barriers for the family in the participation of services. In addition to facilitating and mediating dependency and other juvenile court cases, this Court Conciliator will play a vital role in expanding prevention services by serving as a liaison between the Arizona’s Department of Child Safety (DCS) and the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County in order to enhance communication, program support, and data sharing. They will be responsible for the administration of prevention programs, including the Dependency Alternative Program (DAP) and Dependency Prevention Staffing (DPS) program.
