The Course Placement & Testing Coordinator at Anoka-Ramsey Community College plays a vital role in the Testing Services mission, which is to provide comprehensive testing services for students, faculty, staff, and the community in a professional, secure, and accessible environment. This position is essential in assisting students in achieving their academic and professional goals through effective assessment and course placement coordination. The coordinator will be responsible for advising prospective, new, current, and transfer students, ensuring they receive the necessary support for academic success. This includes coordinating college course placement processes and procedures, providing individualized advising sessions, and managing testing accommodations. The coordinator will also advise students on preparation and retesting policies based on assessment test results. In addition to these responsibilities, the Course Placement & Testing Coordinator will assist with the coordination and administration of testing services provided by the Testing Center. This role requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, as the coordinator will work with a diverse student population. The position is based on the Coon Rapids campus, with the possibility of remote work one day per week, depending on departmental needs. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility during summer and semester breaks.
