The Course Manager for Statistics at the University of Texas at Austin is a pivotal role within the OnRamps program, responsible for leading the implementation and support of the OnRamps Statistics course. This position requires a strong commitment to ensuring fidelity in course delivery and providing high-quality instructional and professional development services to OnRamps instructors, students, and UT faculty. The Course Manager will supervise full-time staff, manage systems for instructor support, and design strategic interventions aimed at improving both teacher and student outcomes. In addition to overseeing the implementation of the course, the Course Manager will lead the design and execution of annual professional learning institutes during the summer, fall, and spring. This involves close collaboration with the OnRamps Assistant Director and the Professional Learning and Development team to enhance course implementation aligned with the OnRamps four pillars. The role also includes cultivating a network of OnRamps instructors through ongoing professional development activities, which may include maintaining newsletters, hosting virtual conferences, and conducting site visits. The Course Manager will utilize data to monitor curriculum implementation and student engagement, ensuring that resources for instructors are current and accessible. They will provide feedback to students and oversee grading mechanisms to ensure quality assurance in assessment activities. This position requires exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the OnRamps mission. The Course Manager will also engage in special projects that support the strategic direction of OnRamps, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service and problem-solving.
