About The Position

Primary Purpose: To transport supplies, medications, monies, diagnostic reports, linens, and records between clinics and the hospital.

Requirements

• High school education
• Must have current valid Missouri Class E Driver’s License
• Working knowledge of Courier vehicle
• Ability to operate Courier vehicle

Responsibilities

• Collects, sorts, transports, and distributes supplies, receipts, linens, records, and communication between the hospital and clinics.
• Collects supplies from various departments and clinics of Cass Regional, as dictated by the Central Supply Supervisor, to be delivered twice daily.
• Sorts and distributes to appropriate departments and off-site clinics daily.
• Complete delivery of supplies and information daily.
• Responsible for safe handling and delivery of pharmacy and lab supplies.
• Ensure that pharmacy supplies are adequately stored and protected by keeping temperatures of drugs at 33 to 42 degrees.
• Ensure that lab supplies are adequately stored and protected by keeping temperatures of supplies at 33 to 42 degrees.
• Make sure certain medications and supplies are refrigerated at appropriate temperatures.
• Safely transports hazardous materials.
• Delivers hazardous wastes to designated area, weekly.
• Transports nitrogen and oxygen as needed.
• Transports spore test to Central Supply for Infection Control, weekly.
• Cleans and maintains Central Supply van
• Ensure oil change has been completed every 3000 miles.
• Maintains general upkeep of Central Supply van by completing maintenance checklist for the van, weekly and making repairs as needed.
• Have tires rotated every 6000 miles.
• Logs Central Supply van mileage daily.
• Clean and wash interior and exterior of Central Supply van.
• Ensures vehicle inspection and license is obtained prior to expiration.
• Perform general stocking duties on a daily basis
• Assist Central Supply with delivering and stocking of supplies to various departments.
