About The Position

Under the supervision of the Crew Chief, the Courier is responsible for transporting and delivering goods to customers, including but not limited to: mail, parcels, supplies and boxes, along specified routes. Interacting with various customers in a professional and courteous manner while exercising excellent communication skills.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with 3 years driving history.
Must be 19 years of age in accordance with US DOT standards.
Obtain and maintain a Medical Examiners Certificate via US DOT approved medical examiners.
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
No convictions for DUI/DWI or more than one traffic violation within the previous three years.
Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards.
Learn and apply information, on a wide range of security service, as well as compliance requirements, in order to assess security concerns and help develop security solutions.
Resolve problems utilizing knowledge and experience.
Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively.
Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others.
Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.
Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively.
Intermittent standing, sitting, climbing, and walking.
Regular transition from sitting to standing.
Climbing in and out of delivery vehicle to gather and deposit client deliveries.
Using hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate computers and other standard office equipment.
Reaching with hands and arms.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds while maintaining a secure environment.

Nice To Haves

Courier, delivery, or mail room operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up and transport parcels, packages, and other deliverables in the most efficient and timely manner.
Resolve issues related to deliveries and customer complaints by utilizing customer service and problem solving skills.
Ensure proper documentation of all important client communication and deliveries.
Secure parcels, packages, and other deliverables by executing controls and ensuring compliance with security procedures.
Report all incidents, events, discrepancies and faults regarding the vehicle or daily assigned work.
Documents and processes departmental work, including but not limited to; completing required reports and documents, verifying for accuracy and completeness, and submitting necessary files before end of shift.
Ensures compliance with all Security industry codes and standards, regulatory requirements and RISE policies and procedures as well as all applicable Local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
Adheres to all security procedures and policies and maintains strict confidentiality of all client information.
Completes training and self-study to achieve and maintain required knowledge of security practices, services and overall operations.
Operate as unarmed back up driver for armored vehicles to fill in as needed.
Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality.
Other duties as assigned.
