At Pace Analytical, our couriers play a critical role in keeping laboratory operations moving—safely, accurately, and on time. As a Courier, you will pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials; complete the appropriate forms and documentation; and support the daily administration of our service center. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in related work preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License; continued employment is contingent upon licenses/registrations remaining in active status without suspension or revocation.
  • Principles, practices, and techniques for sample pick‑up, transport, and delivery.
  • Understanding of daily administration of sample deliveries.
  • Customer service principles and practices.
  • Safe driving principles and practices.
  • Ability to learn organizational policies and procedures.
  • Computer applications and systems related to the work.
  • Principles and practices for serving as an effective project team member.
  • Methods to communicate with staff, coworkers, and customers to ensure safe, effective, and appropriate operations.
  • Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Safely operating a motor vehicle.
  • Providing customer service.
  • Operating effectively both on a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Applying and explaining organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining databases, forms, documents, and related information.
  • Using initiative and judgment within established department policies and procedures.
  • Using tact, discretion, and prudence in interactions.
  • Performing effective oral presentations to groups, peers, and the department.
  • Contributing to team/work unit goals and activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and other items as needed.
  • Review, complete, and process forms, databases, and documentation for sample pick‑up, transport, and delivery.
  • Prepare your vehicle for daily operations, including safety checks and ensuring all required documents and supplies are in order.
  • Provide basic support to staff and management regarding sample transport.
  • Provide basic support researching issues and develop recommendations to resolve employee, management, and customer issues related to transport and delivery.
  • Assist with compliance to applicable laws, rules, and regulations; seek guidance or escalate when required.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of the team.
  • Promote and support Pace Analytical’s mission by demonstrating courteous, cooperative behavior with customers and colleagues, fostering a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
