Courier Grundy County Memorial Hospital As-Needed GCMH couriers are responsible for, but not limited to, transporting or retrieving laboratory specimens, pharmacy supplies, surgical supplies/instruments for Grundy County Memorial Hospital to or from area hospitals including, but not limited to Allen Memorial Hospital, MercyOne Medical Center, United Medical Park, UPH - Marshalltown, St. Luke’s-Cedar Rapids. Requirements

Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Must be able to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities

Responsible for transporting or retrieving laboratory specimens, pharmacy supplies, surgical supplies/instruments for GCMH to or from area hospitals/clinics.
When scheduled, couriers should be able to report to the hospital within 25 minutes of receiving a call that they need to transport or retrieve specimens, supplies or instruments to or from area hospitals, clinics or agencies.
If the transport or retrieval is not of a “stat” nature, whoever requests courier services will indicate the time frame in which the transport or retrieval needs to be done.
Couriers are asked to use the hospital van to transport or retrieve items from area hospitals, clinics or agencies.
If the van is not available, couriers may use their own vehicle.
Mileage will be reimbursed that the current federal rate.
