Hours: 20- 25 hours a week. Hours will vary depending on operational needs. Will include on-call, week days, week nights and weekends as needed. Description: Seeking self-starter to pick up blood, blood components and supplies from mobile drives and donor centers and deliver to assigned locations. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to: loading and unloading supplies; conducting pre and post vehicle inspections; maintaining assigned vehicle in a clean and safe operating manner; and washing of vehicles as needed. Work Environment: This position regularly involves the following: Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. Frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequently bend or reach to perform various job tasks. Occasionally required to stoop and kneel. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.  Reading, understanding, and applying Standard Operating Procedures. Analyze complex situations and make sound decisions. Adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure. Work outside in heat, cold, wet, humid, or dry conditions. Constantly travel to fulfill essential job function.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 23 years old
  • High School Diploma or GED and a valid Kentucky driver’s license with safe driving record are required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Kentucky driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds (pre-employment physical assessment required).
  • Basic MS Office skills with the ability to effectively navigate web-based applications and systems.
  • Regular travel among KBC facilities and other external locations.
  • Flexible schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and department on-call rotation.
  • Proof of education/certifications required during the interview process.
  • Pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical assessment are required.
