About The Position

A Courier delivers, picks up and distributes lab and x-ray work, supplies, meals and information to and from assigned destinations. Work of the courier is performed in the office, hospital, and driving in the community and involves contact with staff and the public. Reports to: Director of Environmental Services FLSA: Non-exempt

Requirements

• Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Valid Driver’s License with an exemplary driving record.
• Computer and/or keyboarding skills required
• Excellent human relations and oral/written communication.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Knowledge of transportation routes within the community.

Responsibilities

• Follows established policies and procedures, objectives, safety standards, and sensitivity to confidential information.
• Picks up and delivers clinic and hospital materials, lab work, x-rays and reports, supplies and mail, and distributes to appropriate destinations.
• Completes bank run.
• Runs appropriate errands for the clinic and hospital as necessary.
• Performs STAT runs as necessary.
• Perform various housekeeping tasks
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Support the culture of service excellence throughout the organization.
• Actively seek ways to demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
