About The Position
We have multiple part-time positions for Couriers to retrieve clinical specimens and return them to our clinical laboratory for testing. This is a critical role for the diagnostic care process as our Couriers ensure safe, efficient transport for people's next steps in their healthcare decision process. We are looking for experienced and reliable individuals who will treat these specimens as if they were their own loved one's lab results every day, and who want to make a positive impact on their community. POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, Couriers are responsible for picking up and transports specimens, reports, and supplies following a designated route. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS Ability to stand, climb, stoop, bend frequently; positions require considerable physical activity. Able to tolerate exposure to conditions which may include toxic chemicals, bio-hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, heights, high temperatures or confined spaces. Must lift up to 25 pounds. Able to use proper body mechanics to lift supplies and equipment and push carts and dollies weighing up to 500 lbs. Needs adequate color vision. Must wear protective clothing as required. Some positions require ability to drive to various locations.
Requirements
- Requires valid Arizona driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
