About The Position

The Courier Swing Driver ensures timely and accurate pickup and delivery of packages across multiple routes, providing flexibility to cover absences and high-volume needs. This role requires safe operation of company vehicles, adherence to all safety and operational standards, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include handling packages with care, maintaining accurate delivery records, and adapting quickly to route changes. Candidates should be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Previous courier or delivery experience preferred.
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with your state requirements for type of vehicle assigned and have good driving record as outlined in policy.
Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Neat appearance since customer contact is required. Must meet and maintain the qualifications as outlined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations. Note: there are specific requirements for any employee that operates a company vehicle. Please refer to policy 4-48 for exact job requirements. Non-covered safety-sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
